ABout Salim
Salim Salah is a 17 year old high school junior at Mira Costa High School and Trojan Water Polo Club. Salim is a versatile water polo player who excels in utility and attacker roles. Salim is known for his speed, routinely winning opening quarter sprints and posting a 50-second 100 freestyle. He is also known for his endurance. With his size and speed, Salim routinely is able to guard all positions in the pool well, in 1-on-1, help, and 6-on-5 defense. In 2025, Salim was a 16 year old starter on Mira Costa’s CIF Open Division Semifinalists team. In 2024, Salim was a 15 year old majority starter on Mira Costa’s CIF SS Division 1 finalist and CIF Division 2 state/regional championship team.
Salim brings passion and leadership while thriving on defense, transition/counter, and on offense. He is a true student of the game and loves engaging his teammates and coaches on water polo tactics and strategy. Salim plans to study business with a focus on data analytics (stemmimg from his love of water polo).
