Salim is a highly motivated student who believes in the work hard, play hard mentality with academics and athletics.

As a 15 year old sophomore in 2024, Salim started a majority of the varsity season for Mira Costa High School during their deep CIF run culminating in a state title. During that same time, Salim completed AP Calculus AB as one of the only underclassmen in the school, earning a score of 5 on the AP Test (only 20% of students taking the test garnered that score).

As a 16 year old junior in 2025, Salim started for Mira Costa varsity during a run to the CIF Open Division Semifinals. During that time, Salim has taken an AP heavy courseload and continues to maintain a straight-A streak throughout high school.

In college, Salim is planning to major in business, analytics and/or statistics. Salim would love for the opportunity to play high-level water polo in an equally challenging athletic and academic environment.
